Kindle is a boon for those who love reading ebooks. It offers a plethora of books under a wide range of categories. You can get poems, stories, novels, educational, entertainment, documents, e-magazine, and whatnot on Kindle. You can all of these and more with your registered Amazon Account. With Kindle, users can buy and rent books that aren’t free to download. Sometimes we may all judge a book by its cover, or we are done with reading, or we may want to free up some space in the library. In all these scenarios, we may want to delete books. Most books get auto-deleted once their lending period is over. This writeup entirely deals with how to delete books from Kindle. You can follow along.
How to Delete Books from Kindle?
You may have bought or rented the book from the Kindle, or you may have brought the books on the Kindle app on your smartphone or via the Kindle website. You can delete the books disregarding how you purchased the book. We are going to discuss the following:

Delete Books from Kindle Fire
Follow the section below and choose any of the methods to delete Kindle books.
Delete Items from the Content Library – Website (Permanent)
In this method, you need to log in to the Online Content library on the Amazon site. This way, you can delete a book permanently.
Step 1: Go to the Amazon My Content Library and Devices site. Log in to your account if necessary.
Step 2: Go to Your Content tab. There you can find your list of library contents.
Step 3: Now, choose the book or books you want to delete. Select the Check box near the book(s).

Step 4: You can find the Delete button on the top-left corner. Click on the button.
Step 5: On the prompt, choose Yes, Delete Permanently.
If the devices are synced, all the deleted contents will also be deleted on your other devices like smartphone or Kindle device. Or tap the three-dotted menu icon on the top-right corner. Then choose Sync and Check for items. Now all the deleted books will be deleted on your other devices too.

Remove Books from the Kindle device (Only on Kindle Device)
Step 1: Swipe up and unlock your Kindle device. And then navigate to your library on the device.
Step 2: Tap and hold the cover of the book you wish to delete.

Step 3: On the pop-up menu, select “Remove from device.”
With this, the book gets removed from the Kindle at once. It will archive the book from the device alone. You can find the books still available on the Purchase or Download list. Simultaneously, you can find the book on the Content library too.
Remove Books from the Smartphone App
Step 1: Open the Kindle app on your Android phone or iOS device.
If you don’t own it, get it from Play Store and App Store, respectively.
Step 2: Tap the Home tab. Here you can find all the recent books. Or open the Library tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Tap and hold the cover of the book. On the pop-up menu, select “Remove from device.”
Delete Kindle Books from Computer Application
Step 1: Download the Kindle app for your Windows or Mac computer. The app will be open to the home screen.
Step 2: Here, you can find all the recent books. If you are currently reading a book, you need to get back.

Step 3: Right-click on the book you want to delete. On the pop-up menu, highlight “Remove from device.”
Deregister Kindle Device from Amazon (Only on Selected Kindle Device)
The below steps will be useful if you have lost your device or decided not to use the Kindle ever. So consider the option in such circumstances. It will delete all the contents, and they will no longer be available on your device.
Step 1: Visit the Amazon My Content Library and Devices website (https://www.amazon.com/mycd). Log in to your account if necessary.
Step 2: Go to the Your Devices tab. There you can find your list of devices registered with this account.
Step 3: Now, choose the device which you want to deregister for the account.
Step 4: Click on the Deregister button. Make sure to select the correct device.
Other devices have nothing to do, so only the device you choose will be deregistered.
