    How to Pair Apple TV Remote [All Types of Remote]

    Apple TV is one of the most popular streaming devices. Like other streaming devices, it also comes with remote control. You will find different types of remotes available for Apple TV. You can use any of these remotes to navigate on any Apple TV streaming device. Basically, the remotes will be paired automatically with the Apple TV. But in case of buying a new Apple TV remote or if your remote is unpaired, you have to pair your remote manually. So go through this article to pair your Apple TV remote to your Apple TV.

    If your Apple TV remote is not working or having any issues, you have to pair them manually. As there are different types of remote, the procedure to pair them vary by type.

    • Apple TV Remote (2nd Gen)
    • Apple TV Remote (1st Gen)
    • Apple Remote (Aluminium)
    • Apple Remote (White)

    How to Pair Apple TV Remote (2nd Gen)

    1) Turn on your Apple TV and go to the Home screen.

    2) Keep the remote 3 to 4 inches away from your Apple TV.

    3) Press the Back button (<) and the Volume Up button (+) for five seconds.

    4) If asked, place the remote on the Apple TV device.

    5) After that, the remote will get paired to your Apple TV

    How to Pair Apple TV Remote (1st Gen)

    1) Turn on your Apple TV and go to the Home screen.

    2) Keep the remote 3 to 4 inches away from your Apple TV.

    3) Then, press and hold the Menu button and Volume Up button for 3 seconds.

    4) Sometimes, your Apple TV will ask you to bring the remote a little closer. In that case, you can come a little bit closer to your Apple TV.

    5) Once paired, you will get an on-screen message on your Apple TV.

    How to Pair Apple Remote (Aluminum)

    1) Turn on Apple TV and leave it on the Home screen.

    2) Hold the Menu button and Right button.

    3) Then, your remote will be paired, and you will get an on-screen notification on your TV.

    4) If it is not paired, hold your remote a little bit closer and try again.

    You can follow the same method to pair your Apple White Remote to your Apple TV. Press and hold the Menu and Right button to pair your Apple White Remote.
