    Samsung Galaxy Watch is a nice gadget to have on your wrist. Running on Tizen OS, you can use this to view your appointments, control other home devices, view weather reports, monitor workloads, and much more. Just like electronic gadgets, you may encounter a few performance issues or glitches. The best way to fix that is by resetting it to its factory settings. The following guide will show the necessary steps to reset your Samsung Galaxy Watch.

    Before the rest, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Watch and wait for a few minutes to turn it on. It may clear a few basic issues on your Watch.

    Back up your Samsung Galaxy Watch

    First of all, it is essential to back up your data on your Samsung Galaxy Watch. Even though it doesn’t contain too much data, you can back them up to store your settings. The process is very simple, and you can do it easily with a wearable app on your smartphone.

    • Launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your Android device, where your watch is pared.
    • Scroll down the home screen and select Account and backup.
    • Click Back up and restore.
    • Select the data that you want and click Back up.

    Once backed up, click Done to complete the process. You can also enable Auto back up to store the information automatically.

    Reset your Samsung Watch to factory settings

    There are three different ways to reset your watch.

    • Using on-screen settings
    • Using Wearable app
    • Force reset

    Method 1: Using the Watch’s on-screen settings

    Step 1: On your watch, open the app drawer by swiping the home screen from left to right twice.

    Step 2: Click the Settings.

    Step 3: Select the General settings.

    Step 4: Scroll down and select Reset.

    Step 5: Select Factory Reset and complete the process.

    Method 2: Using Wearable app

    Step 1: Open the Wearable app and ensure that your watch was connected with the smartphone.

    If not, enable Bluetooth connection on your device and tap the Connect icon on the wearable app.

    Step 2: Once connected, select the General menu inside the app.

    Step 3: Click Reset.

    Step 4: Again, select Reset for confirmation.

    Method 3: Force Reset the Samsung Galaxy Watch

    Use this method when your Galaxy Watch fails or slow to respond.

    Step 1: Long press the power button on your watch until it starts to reboot.

    Step 2: Once started, press the power button multiple times until you saw a reset screen.

    Step 3: Scroll through the menu and select Recovery.

    Step 4: Your device will be restored to its factory settings within a few minutes.
